Do you know enough to hold you tears
and stand the test of time
To survive you hold hands together and kneel
but still you act supine
I miss my early morning drives to UP as an undergrad listening to this on the radio on NU 107.

I really don’t know what’s with Los Chupacabras recently but for those who have seen them play and liked them, here’s some oodles of great news for you. Carl (their bassist) just freely “leaked” their recorded songs via e-mail and is encouraging us (the ones who got the mail) to spread the love.
hey everyone. this is what the chupacabraz have recorded so far. It’s been in the can so long that maybe it’s time that it got out there. i hope that you guys enjoy the album, and if you like it, then maybe pass it on to your friends, and have them pass it on. -carl
So here are all five songs for your listening pleasure. I’m sure their brand of music would have its cult following no matter how small or large it is. Click on read the entire post link for some streaming goodness.

It just occurred to me. I’ve always been reading about the tradition of yelling “Freebird!” in rock concerts in the US. To those who aren’t familiar with the topic, Freebird‘s a song by legendary Southern US rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. If you’ve watched My Name is Earl and god-forbid Elizabethtown you may have seen references to this anthem.
I have no arguments against this. Freebird‘s probably overrated, say, compared to other 70s rock anthems but it’s a nice song. Smooth topped off with an incendiary guitar battle at the end. The song’s been so ingrained in the American rock culture that it’s been an old running “joke” to yell out a request for it. Never mind if the band’s borders more on jazz. Here’s an article about it, The Curse of Freebird.

Maybe it’s a lack of perspective. Or maybe it’s the Pinoy blogger’s tendency to act all high and mighty. Or maybe he’s just plain joking. Or maybe I’m overreacting.
Anyway, I’m referring to this particular post which prompted me to share my two cents worth on jologs and “The r0kkeRzZzZ \m/.” The post I’m referring to is Ade Magnaye’s Know your Jologs Part 1.
I stumbled upon this post on the Man Blog in my search for a mental breather and for some reason, reading the Man Blog is just like watching Jack TV or WWE. It doesn’t take too much brain power but sure cracks you up.
