Watchmen

The whole span of watching the Watchmen movie, I was just waiting for Dr. Manhattan to scream that. I’ve read the comics before and I know that nowhere in all 12 volumes did Dr. Manhattan do that. But since he’s played by Billy Crudup and Billy Crudup played a guy who did that in Almost Famous, maybe it wasn’t too far-fetched to think so.

Anyway, watched the Watchmen movie and what can I say. I loved it.

Quite a lot of critics disliked it blaming the jumpy plot line and the unnecessary graphic rendering of Zack Snyder (there were still his token slo-mo bits reminiscent of 300) but I guess you have to be a fan of the comic to like Watchmen in the first place.

For those not wanting any spoiler at all, then don’t proceed reading.

Casino Royale is the Batman Begins

I confess, I am a Bond fan. I spent countless summers glued to the couch, watching Bond movies from Dr. No to The Living Daylights on VCR.

Alicia Silverstone in a skin-tight Batgirl costume did not redeem the franchise’s doom. The man nipples, oh the humanity.

Firefox 2.0 is out!

Shifting from CDA mode to a tech mode.

Mozilla has released it’s latest update to its revolutionary Firefox browser with version 2.0. You may check and download it from its site here.

Ever since Firefox was publicly released, I have used it as my default and primary Internet browser over the unstable and vulnerable Microsoft Internet Explorer. I just loved tabbed browsing option so much since, personally, I hated too many items in my taskbar. Page loading and downloads also seemed to be faster with Firefox.

So what’s new with 2.0?

Yahoo! is still bringing it on with Mail Beta

I seldom use my Yahoo! Mail due to my Gmail advocacy. Two days after typhoon Milenyo ravaged the Metro and a day after power got restored, I finally got to boot my PC and use some Net time. Lo and behold when I check my Yahoo Mail! They have got Beta.
