Meme: I’m proud to be Pinoy.

In: Politics and Society

Curses! Blame Mae for this post. Hehehe. I’ve never been really big on these meme stuff. But since it’s Mae who tagged me, I’ll give it a shot.

In any case, while there’s a heck of a lot that would make us a little less proud being a Filipino, there’s a heck of a lot to be proud of. Since there’s only need for three, here are my picks.

  • Humor. We like to laugh a lot. Problems? Fear? Calamities? Natural disasters? The midget in MalacaƱang? Bring it. We’ll just laugh at their faces. Kudos to Rex Navarrete, Happy Slip, and Greenpinoy.
  • Classic Pinoy Porn. Not those sleazy stuff you find along Quiapo nowadays. Those are just too uncool. Classic Pinoy porn has story lines and attempts at pang-award acting. Nothing beats the wah-ridden guitar work in the soundtracks too.
  • Adobo. While the name is EspaƱol, adobo is proudly Philippine-made. Yummy. Long shelf life. Perfect. Beat that, Big Mac.

Next victims: Rish, Kyam, and Benj

Words of Wisdom

Listen, strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords is no basis for a system ofq government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. — Dennis, Monty Python and the Holy Grail
