Hehe. No real discussion here. Just a reaction to blog posts and comments saying that either 300 had homosexual undertones or the swarm of bulging ab muscles made them gay.

one of my sons watched 300–with excitement, but he was DISAPPOINTED! ade is right – my son said it was crap!

I’m a big fan of Frank Miller. And I’ve waited for the movie for over a year. Good thing I was satisfied with what they did. I think you have to be know the graphic novel, be a fan of classic Greek history and warfare to fully appreciate it. I loved it.

Without the stunning visuals, 300 wouldn’t have made it through.

Zack Snyder really put emphasis on that – capturing the Miller panels a la Sin City. That clearly explains the lack of depth in terms of characterization, but believe me, the love story angle helped a lot in terms of that aspect.
