It’s been a long while since I watched TV (local or otherwise). And I’ve been practically living as a hermit being a home-based worker. So those two practically are the reasons why I don’t feel the campaign vibe.
But it’s weird. I remember that at least we used to have flyers and leaflets stuck in between our home’s gate grills. The only paper stuck there that I weed out practically every morning is from Pizza Hut, no fancy flyers with Chiz’s smug face, or whoever’s running for positions here in QC. Oh yeah, and no jeeps with loudspeakers doing its rounds too.
So where are the campaign materials now? TV spots? YouTube? Heck even the walls seem to a lot cleaner now. Is that the case everywhere else?
Did the COMELEC ban those methods of campaigning? And how about vote buying? That’s an easy way to get some money. Hehehe…

Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous goes down as one of my all-time favorite movies. I live for movie quotes and perhaps, second to Kevin Smith movies, Almost Famous has chockfull of my most favorite lines. And here they are:
- Russell Hammond: I am a golden god!
- Lester Bangs: The only true currency in this bankrupt world… is what you share with someone else when you’re uncool.
- Lester Bangs: My advice to you. I know you think those guys are your friends. You wanna be a true friend to them? Be honest, and unmerciful.
- Lester Bangs: I’m always home. I’m uncool.
- Russell Hammond: And you can tell Rolling Stone magazine that my last words were… I’m on drugs!
- Jeff Bebe: Yeah, come back here! I’m incendiary, too, man!
- Jeff Bebe: Some people have a hard time explaining rock ‘n’ roll. I don’t think anyone can really explain rock ‘n’ roll. Except Pete Townshend, but that’s okay. Rock ‘n’ roll is a lifestyle and a way of thinking… and it’s not about money and popularity. Although, some money would be nice. But it’s a voice that says, “Here I am… and f*ck you if you can’t understand me.” And one of these people is gonna save the world. And that means that rock ‘n’ roll can save the world… all of us together. And the chicks are great. But what it all comes down to is that thing. The indefinable thing when people catch something in your music.
- Jeff Bebe: It’s okay! I’m easy to forget! Just leave me behind! I’m only the f*cking lead singer!
Oh yeah, and that bus scene where Tiny Dancer played? That was classic.

PBA as in Philippine Blog Awards. Well, congratulations to the finalists. It’s a pretty good mix actually and pretty much deserving of being in the short list.
And here they are for the main categories:

Hi guys. I’m inviting all Pinoy bloggers to take part in this quick and dirty survey.
This is a very simple survey and I don’t plan in making grandiose claims with the results of this one. Just a simple experiment (if you will :p).
If you have any comments or justifications to your vote (like if you want to share why you prefer the use of a language) please leave a comment below. I can’t give out monetary compensation for your participation, just my heartfelt thanks.

I haven’t really done much surfing on the net. Since I’m not yet in the mood (just finished posting another article on LifeSpy) to write my term papers, I headed over to Philmusic.com for a bit of muzak news. And being a Wolfgang fan, this news definitely struck me first “Wolfgang is back and working on a new studio album.”
Wolfgang fans who have been craving for a follow up to their last album “Black Mantra” (released in August 2001) will finally get their wishes fulfilled as demos of an upcoming album have been released over the mobile Internet space.
Yahoo Philippines’ mobile music portal has released four demos of the band – intended for a new album, which would be their sixth studio album, not including their live album “Acoustica” and the US-released compilation “Volume”.
Unfortunately for us, there’s no Wolf to man the tins and skins:
Three out of four of the original members of the band are recording the demos – vocalist Basti Artadi, guitarist Manuel Legarda, and bassist Mon Legaspi are involved in the recording project. Out of the picture for the forseeable future is drummer Wolf Gemora, who has been devoting all his energies to his band Lokomotiv.
